Our Story

Christine Belanger opened the Dancing Center Unlimited (DCU) in Chelmsford, MA in 1992, when she was just 23 years old. The Dancing Center Unlimited was one of the original dance studios in town and now stands as one of the longest running dance studios in the area. Through hard work and dedication she has built a place many families have considered their second home. Christine’s two daughters, Kendall and Kadyn also dance at the DCU, just like their mom, they are dynamic and determined. 

The foundation of the DCU is one built on the love of dance, family, friendship, community and commitment.  Quality training in a fun environment has always been a priority. Our dancers are known for technical excellence, grace and a strong foundation in all genres. 

Many graduates of the DCU starting dancing at the age of three, some have gone on to performing professionally and most DCU graduates have enjoyed many successes in life and careers. We know this because a good portion of the DCU alumni come back! Whether to help at recital, come teach a class or bring their own children for dance instruction, the DCU family is solid. 

Chris has established a place that isn’t just about dance. The DCU staff teaches students the importance of commitment and discipline that stretch across all areas of life, academics, family and community.
